Dr. Veronique Miron
Dr. Veronique Miron is a Senior Lecturer and MRC Senior Non-Clinical Research Fellow at The University of Edinburgh.
She has investigated myelin repair in multiple sclerosis for 17 years, first during her PhD in Neurological Sciences at McGill University in Canada (2004-2009), then during postdoctoral training at the MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine in Edinburgh (2010-2013), and subsequently as an independent group leader at The University of Edinburgh – recently joining the UK Dementia Research Institute.
Her team aims to understand how glial interactions and inflammation regulate myelin repair in order to identify novel regenerative treatments for multiple sclerosis and other neurodegenerative disorders.
